PUBLIC MEETING GUIDELINES:
Albany Unified School District Board meetings are now conducted in person and the public is invited to attend. Seating is limited, and masking is strongly recommended. As a courtesy, and technology permitting, members of the public may continue to participate virtually. However, AUSD cannot guarantee that the public’s access to teleconferencing technology will be uninterrupted and technical difficulties may occur from time to time.

MISSION AND VISION STATEMENT:
The mission of Albany Unified School District is to provide excellent public education that empowers all to achieve their fullest potential as productive citizens. AUSD is committed to creating comprehensive learning opportunities in a safe, supportive and collaborative environment, addressing the individual needs of each student.

TOPIC OF PUBLIC HEARING: Whether To Call An Election On March 5, 2024, To Levy A Qualified Special Tax (“Parcel Tax”)

The Board will hold a Public Hearing pursuant to Government Code Section 50077, on the issue of calling an election on March 5, 2024, to levy a qualified special tax (“Parcel Tax”) on parcels within the boundaries of the Albany Unified School District. At the hearing, public input will be solicited concerning the proposed Parcel Tax measure.

The Board of Education agenda is posted for public inspection in advance of meetings at the Albany Unified School District Office, 1216 Solano Ave., Albany, CA and at the Albany City Hall. If a meeting is held at a school site, that location will be listed at the top of the agenda and the agenda will also be posted at that site. Agendas and supporting documents (agenda packet) can also be found online at www.ausdk12.org.

Members of the public may attend the Board of Education meetings in person and request to speak on any item listed on the agenda during the time of that item. Board practice limits each speaker to no more than two (2) minutes. If there are many speakers, this time may be decreased to allow more members to be heard.
